The Role: Oracle EBS R12 Discrete Manufacturing Functional Consultant
As an Oracle EBS R12 Discrete Manufacturing Functional Consultant, you will lead the implementation, configuration, and support of Oracle Manufacturing modules, with a focus on aligning solutions with the unique workflows of the home textile industry. This role requires deep expertise in Oracle Discrete Manufacturing (ODM) modules, including Bill of Materials (BOM), Work in Process (WIP), Inventory, and Costing, tailored to spinning, weaving, dyeing, and stitching processes. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, train users, and ensure seamless operations, making a direct impact on our production efficiency and business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation & Configuration:
- Lead end-to-end Oracle EBS R12 ODM implementations, customizing modules to align with textile production workflows (spinning, weaving, dyeing, stitching, and garment assembly).
- Configure BOM, WIP, Inventory, and Costing modules to support home textile routing, shop floor controls, and material costing for discrete manufacturing.
- Design and implement solutions for stitching, finishing, and cut-to-pack processes, ensuring integration with Oracle EBS R12.
- Support & Process Optimization:
- Provide post-go-live support, resolving issues related to WIP Discrete Job, material costing variances, and production workflows.
- Conduct user training sessions for production supervisors, shop floor operators, and planners, ensuring effective adoption of Oracle EBS.
- Optimize textile manufacturing workflows by identifying bottlenecks and implementing best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Prepare functional specifications (MD.50), technical designs (MD.70), and test scripts (TE.040) tailored to textile manufacturing scenarios.
- Ensure compliance with Oracle Application Implementation Methodology (AIM) or Oracle Unified Methodology (OUM).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including textile-specific configurations, user manuals, and training guides.
- Collaboration & Reporting:
- Work closely with IT, production, and finance teams to ensure seamless integration of Oracle EBS modules.
- Provide regular updates and reports on implementation progress, system performance, and user feedback to stakeholders.

Requirements
- Education: ACCA, BS in Commerce, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in Oracle EBS R12 Discrete Manufacturing, with expertise in BOM, WIP, Inventory, Pre-Costing, and Costing modules.
- At least 2–3 full lifecycle implementations in discrete manufacturing, preferably in the textile or apparel industry.
- Skills:
- Strong working knowledge of textile sector processes, including spinning, weaving, dyeing, and stitching (cut-to-pack production).
- Proficiency in configuring Oracle EBS R12 ODM modules to support complex manufacturing workflows.
- Experience with user training, process optimization, and post-go-live support for manufacturing teams.
- Familiarity with Oracle AIM/OUM methodology for documentation and implementation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and train diverse user groups.
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues, optimize workflows, and resolve costing variances.
- Technical Skills (Preferred):
- Proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle APIs, interfaces, and data migration for manufacturing data.
- Experience with creating functional specs (MD.50), technical designs (MD.70), and test scripts (TE.040).
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Oracle EBS integrations for textile-specific ERP solutions.
- Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Applications or other ERP platforms for future-proofing skills.
- Background in cost accounting or supply chain management within the textile industry.
- Familiarity with shop floor control systems or IoT integration in manufacturing.
- Certification in Oracle EBS R12 or related modules.
