The Role: Dy. Manager Sales & Technical (Analytical Instruments)
This is a dual-role leadership position combining technical expertise with strategic sales management. Based full-time at our Lahore office, you’ll lead the sales cycle for high-value analytical instruments — from identifying client needs to delivering compelling technical presentations, closing deals, and ensuring post-sale satisfaction. You’ll report directly to senior management and collaborate with technical support, logistics, and marketing teams to drive revenue and market penetration.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Sales Leadership:
- Conduct in-depth client consultations to assess analytical testing needs and recommend optimal instrument solutions (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, AAS, FTIR).
- Deliver professional technical presentations, product demos, and proof-of-concept trials to labs, R&D teams, and procurement heads.
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement annual sales plans targeting key industries and high-potential accounts.
- Achieve and exceed monthly/quarterly sales targets through proactive pipeline management.
- Prepare accurate quotations, tenders, and proposals aligned with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients (pharma, textile, food, etc.) to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Provide exceptional pre- and post-sales support, including installation oversight, training, and troubleshooting coordination.
- Market Intelligence & Business Development:
- Analyze competitor offerings, pricing, and market trends to position Khan Associates as the preferred supplier.
- Identify new business opportunities in emerging sectors (e.g., biotech, environmental testing).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with technical service engineers for smooth installation and calibration.
- Coordinate with inventory and logistics for timely delivery and stock availability.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a results-driven chemistry graduate with 4–5 years of hands-on experience selling analytical instruments. You’re not just a salesperson — you’re a trusted advisor who speaks the language of lab managers, QC heads, and R&D scientists.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (mandatory)
- Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Instrumentation (highly preferred)
- Experience:
- 4–5 years in B2B sales of analytical instruments (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, AAS, FTIR, etc.)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in technical sales
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of analytical chemistry techniques and instrument applications
- Ability to interpret client lab workflows and recommend tailored solutions
- Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025, GLP, and pharma regulatory standards
- Sales & Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication & presentation skills (verbal, written, and visual)
- Strong negotiation, objection handling, and closing abilities
- Exceptional customer service orientation and relationship-building
- Tools & Systems:
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint for proposals and reports)
- Experience with CRM software (a plus)
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience selling to pharmaceutical or textile testing labs
- Hands-on operation of analytical instruments (from academic or prior roles)
- Certification in sales training (e.g., SPIN, Challenger Sale)
- Existing network in Lahore’s industrial and research community
