The Role: Sales Engineer (Construction Chemicals)

This is a field + office hybrid role where you’ll be the technical face of Sika on construction sites and in client meetings. You’ll hunt new projects, solve technical challenges, and close deals that shape Pakistan’s skyline.

Key Responsibilities

ResponsibilityWhat You’ll Do
Project HuntingProactively identify upcoming projects (housing societies, high-rises, infrastructure) via site visits, contractor networks, and developer databases.
Technical SellingConduct on-site product demos, mock-ups, and application training for contractors and applicators.
Solution DesignRecommend Sika systems (e.g., SikaTop®, Sikadur®, Sika ViscoCrete®) based on project specs, budget, and performance needs.
Sales ExecutionAchieve monthly/quarterly targets through tenders, negotiations, and project-specific proposals.
CollectionsFollow up on outstanding payments with clients and coordinate with finance for timely recovery.
Relationship BuildingDevelop long-term partnerships with developers, consultants, and contractors for repeat business.
Market IntelligenceTrack competitor activity, pricing, and new product launches to stay ahead.

Who We’re Looking For

We need engineers who sell — not just salespeople. You’ll be trusted to represent Swiss quality on construction sites across Pakistan.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • B.E. / B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Construction Management
  • Experience:
    • 2–5 years in B2B technical sales (construction chemicals, cement, waterproofing, admixtures preferred)
    • Proven track record of meeting sales targets
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of construction project lifecycle, concrete technology, and application methods
    • Hands-on knowledge of waterproofing, flooring, or roofing systems
  • Soft Skills:
    • Presentable, confident, and client-facing personality
    • Excellent communication & negotiation (English + Urdu)
    • Strong grip on MS Office; Salesforce CRM experience a plus
  • Mobility:
    • Willing to travel nationwide (50–70% field time)
    • Valid driving license + own vehicle (allowances provided)

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with housing societies or infrastructure projects
  • Sika product training or prior exposure
  • Consultant/developer network in Lahore, Islamabad, or Karachi
  • Fluency in regional languages (Punjabi, Sindhi)
